Pixèsta

Terms of Use

Last updated 3 October 2026

Pixèsta lets the guests of an event share photos, videos and messages with its host, and shows them on a live slideshow. "We" and "us" mean the people who run Pixèsta. By using Pixèsta, as a host or as a guest, you agree to these terms.

Hosts

  • You need an account to create an event. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You are responsible for your event: who you give the QR code or link to, what you approve to be shown, and what you do with the photos, videos and messages you receive.
  • Tell your guests that what they share goes to you and may be shown on the slideshow, and hide or delete something when the person who shared it, or a person shown in it, asks you to.
  • Only add music that you have the right to use. A slideshow video with music you do not have the rights to may be muted or removed by the sites you share it on.

Guests

  • You do not need an account. The name you enter is shown with what you share.
  • Share only photos and videos that you took yourself or have permission to share, and be considerate of the people in them.
  • What you share is given to the host of the event and, once approved, can be seen by anyone with the event's QR code or link, for example on the slideshow.

What must not be shared

Do not use Pixèsta to share anything that:

  • is illegal, or sexually exploits or endangers children;
  • is hateful, threatening, harassing or sexually explicit;
  • infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights;
  • contains malware or is meant to disrupt the service.

We may remove such content, and suspend the events or accounts involved, without notice.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to what you upload. You give us permission to store it, process it (for example to make smaller versions, or to add our watermark on the Free plan) and show it to the host and the event's guests, only as far as needed to run the service. Guests also give the host of the event permission to keep and use what they shared as a record of the event.

How long an event is kept

An event's photos, videos and music are deleted automatically when the event's hosting ends: between 7 days and 12 months after the day of the event, depending on the event's plan. Hosts should download what they want to keep before then. Pixèsta is not a backup service: anything deleted, by you or at the end of this period, cannot be recovered.

Plans and payments

  • An event is created on the Free plan, or on a paid plan that is paid for once as it is created; an event on a paid plan is only created once its payment has gone through. A free event can be moved to a larger plan later. A plan covers that one event and is not a subscription.
  • On the Free plan, photos carry our watermark and are kept at a smaller size (up to 1280 pixels on the longest side). Moving the event to a paid plan removes the watermark from its photos; photos shared after that are kept at the paid plan's larger size, while those shared before keep the smaller size.
  • A host can have up to 3 events on the Free plan at a time. An event's date can be set up to 3 months after the event is created on the Free plan, or 12 months on a paid plan, and once its day has passed the date can no longer be moved later.
  • Plans are priced and charged in Malaysian ringgit (MYR) for hosts in Malaysia, and in US dollars (USD) for hosts everywhere else, going by the country on the host's account. That country is given at sign-up and cannot be changed afterwards.
  • The price is the one shown in the app when you pay. Moving an event up again costs the difference between the two plans. An event cannot be moved to a smaller plan.
  • Payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe, on its own page.
  • All sales are final. A plan is not refundable once it is paid for, including when the event is cancelled or moved to another day, when the plan is not used in full, or when you delete the event or your account.
  • This does not take away any right to a refund that the law gives you and that cannot be given up. If you were charged twice or by mistake, write to us and we will put it right.

Limits

Limits on file sizes, the number of files and the storage of an event apply as shown in the app. Until the day of an event, guests can share only a few photos and videos, so the event can be tried out; the full limits of its plan apply from its day. We may change these limits.

The service

We work to keep Pixèsta running well, but it is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and it depends on things outside our control, such as the internet connection at your venue. We may change or discontinue features.

Our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost photos, videos or messages, for what hosts or guests share or do with what is shared, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

Hosts can delete an event or their account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Pixèsta after a change means you accept the new terms.
